Why Instagram links may open in a browser
Instagram is frequently opened inside embedded browsers used by messaging and social apps. Android can often hand supported HTTPS paths to the Instagram package, while iOS behavior depends more heavily on universal-link handling and the browser context.
Important: A web page cannot override every browser or operating-system security rule. App installation, device settings, browser behavior and the destination service ultimately determine whether a native app opens.

- Private content still requires the viewer to have permission inside Instagram.
