How to open a X / Twitter link in the app
- Copy the public X / Twitter link you want to share.
- Paste it into the generator above and select Create App Link.
- Copy the generated Open-in-App URL and share it in your bio, message, QR code, website or campaign.
- On a supported mobile device, the link attempts the native app first and keeps the original URL as a fallback.

Why X / Twitter links may open in a browser
Older Twitter URLs and newer X URLs can appear in many forms. For status links, the tool extracts the post ID when possible and uses the native Twitter URL scheme before falling back to the original webpage.
Tips for reliable X / Twitter app links
- Both x.com and twitter.com URLs are accepted.
- Use the canonical post URL when sharing a specific post.
- Protected or deleted posts remain subject to X account permissions.
App opener vs normal link
A normal HTTPS link is universally compatible but may stay in a browser. An app opener adds a native-app attempt before the web fallback. This is useful when the best experience—playback, navigation, messaging, saved content or logged-in state—lives inside the installed app.
